Kirsten came to us as an intern over the summer of 2017 and was assigned a variety of administrative tasks to complete in order to enhance department operations. Each of these tasks was designed to provide her further insight into her declared major at Indiana Univ of Pa. During the summer, she was responsible, detail oriented and asked appropriate questions in order to further her understanding of the project or of as aspect of law enforcement. She is a hard worker with a good mindset, work ethic and she's the kind of person who will be successful at anything she engages.

I provide transportation to a 10 year old girl who has mental disabilities to and from school. I work with on her social skills by engaging in different activities like going to the YMCA. I also work with her on her academic skills by doing homework together and teaching effective ways to create better study habits. As with any child, I also try to limit her screen time. I obtained this job through an internship with Hampden Township Police. The job required me to answer the phone, assist with walk-ins, and fingerprint people for job requirements. I also have worked closely with their record department and doing data analysis. I was also able to go out in the field a few times and understand traffic patterns and how the laws work with implementing different changes. I was able to apply topics that I have learned from Criminology. I went to the new school that was built and discussed safety precautions with the Chief. Show less

Crew Lead, responsible for watching the concession stand and making sure everything was running properly. I worked with the employees to learn how to market our rewards program better and other promotional products. Through this position I learned leadership, customer service, cash handling, and how to market products successfully.
