Some people have the gift of creative, new perspectives. Some people have the gift of humor. Some communicate so well they move people. Some have empathy that heals. Rarely, are all of these traits found in one person, one pastor. Heather has all of these gifts. When Heather preaches or works with others, listens to others, she brings her valuable perspective and compassionate listening, and helps those around her see more clearly, for good. Heather's unique and steady access to inspriation feels like she guides a congregation through turbulant white water rivers of faith and life in a strong but flexible boat, steady with wisdom from tackling the ancient texts while open to the spirit. Being in Heather's church many years ago, I still reap what she sowed in me and our congregation- strength and faith so I can flourish.

Heather was a positive and uniting force in our congregation. Many times she managed to bring together and focus groups of disparate people on a particular task with humor and sincerity. She was easy to work with and down-to-earth, friendly and professional. Any group that has Heather as a member is lucky to have her.
