    • Head of Pre-tenancy & Property Manager
      • Oct 2014 - Present

Primarily a property manager for Chelsea branch, I developed this role to include several other responsibilities. I became the unofficial head of pre-tenancy and also managed large scale conversions and refurbishments for Landlords across the whole of Central London. Principle responsibilities:• Working closely with Landlords, branch managers and contractors to obtain quotes for everything from small redecorating jobs to structural conversions. Overseeing larger works from start to finish, inspecting during works, once complete and obtaining funds from clients• Project managing bigger work from start to finish; obtaining floorplans, ensuring contractor quotes are for exactly what we want, negotiating prices between Landlord and Contractors, working with Building managers, surveyors, engineers, insurers, building regs, etc.• Managing a small portfolio in Chelsea.I began my role managing a portfolio of high end properties in Chelsea. I became responsible for co-ordinating everything required for the start of tenancies across London branches. Due to someone leaving in November, I spent three months juggling two full time positions until a replacement was found. This second role was being responsible for non-managed properties, ensuring gas safeties were renewed, managing deposit releases and queries for non- managed properties, account enquiries and duties. After a replacement was found I could focus more on my own position and noticed a section of the market that we weren’t committed to; I developed this role into something more profitable than originally expected. I worked closely with branches, Landlords and contractors to provide large-scale refurbishments, conversions, renovations, etc. Our final quarterly meeting showed that since I had been allowed to do bigger projects, our department was 100% over projections. That isn’t taking into account some large ongoing jobs were due for payment. It was estimated for us between 150 – 200% over target by year end.

As a member of the in-store sales team, my duties ranged from customer service roles to general store maintenance and administration. These included:• Matching customers to their perfect products; assessing wants, needs and budget as well as finding the most financially beneficial way of acquiring their goods.• Working to targets and ensuring good rapport and continuing relations with new and existing customers.• Offering technical support and advice to existing customers and also dealing with account enquiries.• Stock replenishment and changing the visual merchandising according to head offices specifications.• General store maintenance and cleaning• Basic Managerial duties such as opening and closing the store, being in charge of banking, helping with rotas, stock movement, etc.Working for Orange helped me to polish off a great deal of retail skills as well as acquiring a few new ones. My confidence grew immensely and I thoroughly enjoyed being involved with the public, building working relationships and being part of a great team. I was plunged into the deep end on my second week of work due to staff shortages; holidays and illness meant that there was only me and one other member of staff available to work. As a result, I had to learn three months of training in just over a week as well as, on one occasion, work ten days straight without even a lunch break or the store would not have been able to open. This, coupled with working to very strict targets, helped me to learn how to cope with pressure at work. I beat my targets each and every time, even in my very first month. I was also praised for selling some of the hardest products which even some of the veterans who had been with the company for years struggled to do.

    • on-set assistant
      • Sep 2010 - Dec 2010

Worked as a General on-set assistant to the music production company.Principle responsibilities included: • Setting up performance areas, lighting, props, sound equipment, etc.• Assisting with camera work, final editing and initial setup.• Personal assistant to the clients, seeing to any of their needs and also assisting with wardrobe. This job gave me the chance to gain a great insight into the music industry and the opportunity to meet many well known artists. I also improved my social skills a great deal due to the need to correspond with numerous groups of people on a daily basis. On-set problems often required a lot of critical thinking and problem solving was often left up to me. From this I have become very confident in my ability to approach problems, think outside of the box and manage small groups of people.

    • sales advisor
      • Feb 2004 - Feb 2006

Sales assistant for a local video games store with additional admin duties.Principle responsibilities included:• Opening and closing the store and tills, cashing up, banking, and sales data entry• Serving customers and ensuring I was well acquainted with the products and technologies I was promoting.• Maintenance and cleaning – back of house operations.I learnt how to work well as part of a team and that speed and initiative were necessary to perform successfully in a demanding environment.
