I completed my training contract to become a Chartered Accountant with RBL. RBL clients are generally small to medium sized enterprises, to which the firm provides strategic advice combined with practical accounting and taxation solutions using the latest technologies. During my training contract, I gained a broad range of experience, as outlined below: - Statutory Accounts: I have successfully prepared a large number (circa 100) of statutory accounts for micro, small and medium sized companies and partnerships based in both the UK and Ireland. - Audit: I delivered a number of audits under the Solicitors Accounts Regulations and the NI Clubs Regulations, where I acted in the role of audit senior. - Assurance: I was involved in a range of review projects including financial appraisals of new business plans, covenant reviews and the review of internal controls of a large organisation. - Taxation: Preparation of circa 100 corporation tax returns, circa 100 self-assessment tax returns and provided advice on a broad range of tax queries. - Systems: I have carried out numerous system implementations, particularly with xero and LEAP. I became an expert on Xero, an accounting software for small to medium sized organisations. I supported circa 20-25 organisations with integration of Xero to their organisation, this includes initial set up, conversion of data, tailored training and ongoing support and assistance. I became the first LEAP Certified Consultant in Ireland (NI and ROI). LEAP is a practice management and accounting software for law firms which integrates with Xero. I have delivered tailored training on LEAP remotely, one-to-one and in group settings to circa 20-25 law firms. I was brought into various firms to resolve systems integration issues and accounting problems. Additionally, I internally trained my colleagues on the system. Show less
