Manage the Technical Support and R&D Departments for LAVINA® and CNC products • Responsible for the continual training of Superabrasive sales staff on new and existing products • Responsible for creating, updating, and executing training courses for LAVINA® equipment and tooling (pertaining to both application and maintenance)and for training others to teach such courses • Directly address and solve multiple technical support issues daily, from distributors and end users alike (more than 2500 individual and corporate accounts); also train and supervise others within the Support Department • Implemented strict schedules for quality control, troubleshooting, and warranty replacement, which is successfully followed by the Sales and Technical Support Departments, and has resulted in a drastic reduction in returns, and the shipping of incorrect parts; also implemented a ‘Customer Satisfaction’ survey which allowed Superabrasive to proactively address potential product issues • Worked as a liaison between the Sales Team and our factory’s engineers to develop new products for the concrete and stone fabrication markets • Worked one-on-one with several large key Concrete accounts (i.e., Apple) to solve specific problems with their application and develop special tools for their individual projects; this involved directly training Apple’s contractors on-site, extensive travel, considerable R&D, and relationship building on an individual and corporate level • Analyze return ratios, manufacturing defects, and part failure rates to ensure that Superabrasive operates within an acceptable variance; also source new vendors, when necessary • Maintain strict and detailed records of all product support incidents • Maintain a proactive attitude towards addressing customers’ needs; continuously seeking more effective ways to improve customer satisfaction
