    • Undergraduate Fellow at Buffett Institute for Global Studies
      • May 2017 - Jun 2018

As the Public Relations/Communications Fellow at The Buffett Institue, I had the responsibility to engage with my peers and superiors to improve and execute undergraduate programming and initiatives for global engagement. I was able to develop the Ambassadors Program which was a project conceptualized by the previous year's fellows. It was challenging to create a foundation for our program. However, through consistent collaboration with staff and peers, our team was able to recruit, train, and mobilize 12 Buffett Ambassadors to spread awareness of the Buffett mission.I thoroughly enjoyed my time with The Buffett Institute learning about global initiatives and learning directly from our partners who are making a difference in the world. This position allowed me to step out of my comfort zone as a leader to take on the responsibility of delegation.

    • International Program Development (IPD) Participant
      • Jun 2017 - Aug 2017

Comparative Public Health in Serbia & Bosnia-Herzegovina: In this two month experience abroad, I had the unique opportunity to learn in two Eastern European countries. Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are both former parties of Yugoslavia and experienced drastic changes to their social systems during the fall of the Yugoslav nation. I was honored to learn the living history of this region and examine the sociopolitical effects of war and socialism in our modern world. Through classroom discussions and hands-on exploration of the lands, I experienced the great resilience of this region. This program truly gave me a different perspective on global health and mental health and further sparked my interest in learning about these concepts. This was a great opportunity to galvanize my interests in international studies and the enticed my mind to think about history in a more applicable manner. Awards: Mental Health in Serbia Certificate, IPD Scholarship
