I am presently Semi-Retired, but am still available for Consult, Appraisal, and Related Services, and am always interested in buying Rare Books, Manuscripts, Prints, Paintings and other Rare Printed Items. I began with an open shop of 250 sq. ft. in Lancaster, PA in 1978, and In 1985 I expanded to a building with 3500 square feet just down the street. In 1999, with the purchase of our now recently sold home, my wife, Kelly, and I moved the business to the carriage house behind our home on Marietta Ave. in Rorherstown. We started liqidating the business in 2011, and by June had sold off all of our inventory.Primarily, we bought & sold used, out-of-print and rare books, with a focus on 19th century and earlier material. We also purchased prints ,paintings, maps, postcards, magazines, documents, deeds, manuscripts, autographs, posters & advertising items. We focused on children's & illustrated books, local & Pennsylvania history, Pennsylvania-German studies, military history, but stocked titles in approximately 300 catagories. We executed appraisals for estate, tax and/or insurance purposes, for both individuals and institutions. Show less
