I worked with Kim at Evolva - a Swiss biotech startup company where she played a key role in partnership search and evaluation, followed by establishing and maintaining these partnerships. As the head legal I worked closely with Kim in drafting the legal basis for the different types of relationships that she brought in. She was critical in the contracting phase in layering in Evolva’s as well as the partners’ requirements for a successful collaboration. Further, after contracting, Kim continued to direct these relationships as alliance manager, where she led cross-functional teams to deliver upon the financial and R&D milestones, as well as nourishing the alliance with the partners. Kim was always quick to anticipate, identify and risk-mitigate issues or challenges coming up in the partnerships as they evolved over time. She also has a keen ability to manage US government contracts such as DOD, Navy, CDC and BARDA. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kim and I truly valued her collaborative style and the positive energy she brought to every project. Kim would be an asset to any company in the role of Alliance Manager or Business Development.

Kim is an amazing employee, and if I had a chance to, I would definitely hire her again. She is one of the best problem solvers that I have worked with. On top of that, she has top notch people skills. She worked for me as a project manager on a very difficult project. Despite our company not having experience developing products in the diagnostics area, and despite significant political issues within the company, she was able to advance the products to approval in several countries in a very short period of time. Kim consistently has a positive attitude regardless of what is thrown at her. Furthermore, she is extremely sharp and is able to catch on to new subjects very quickly. Any company would be lucky to have her!
