LPN / BUSINESS DEVELOPEMENT & RECRUITER
-
Feb 2013 - Dec 2014
My position entails many hats. Most importantly working as an LPN. Supplemental staffing as a LPN Charge nurse or floor Float nurse at various Skilled and Transitional Care Facilities. As an LPN I do multiple tasks. Including viewing documentation & understanding the patient care planning.I am also involved in Nursing recruitment, Including interviewing & assisting in the hiring process. I have partnered with Nursing colleges, & community colleges, in order to meet students, instructors, & quality candidates. I'm a part of 3 different college advisory boards in Salem/Portland. I give insightful information from the nursing field. This helps the college address recommendations & possibly incorporate solutions into their academics. I have developed new nursing services, & implemented them. This includes creating protocols, & basic training on implementing these new services, while staying within the scope of practice.I am very familiar with working with Skilled Facilities, assisted living, & home care. From working on the floor/field, to helping address staffing, working with coordinators, case managers, & resident directors. This also includes negotiating Business Associate agreements with these facilities for medical supplemental staffing.I also market Interim as a company, and their brand. Keeping their quality image. This included set up, attending local health and job fairs, creating a network within the community, & introducing our company to other companies to build a referral base. I also met with the public by being involved with non profit causes & events. Sharing about Interim, & the nursing services provided. The most important task that I do at Interim , is learning & listening. I learn something new everyday about nursing, and people. I cherish helping others become healthier, informative, & sustain a healthy living.
