Responsible for lesson planning, feedback to cadets, development of course products for core courses like calculus and statistics as well as higher level classes including differential equations, discrete math, and teaching practicum. I also served as a course director for four of those courses in which I was responsible for the creation and execution of all course products, leading the instructors in the development and execution of the course, and providing formal assessments of all graded events. In addition, I held the role of academic advisor for numerous cadets. This involved providing mentoring and guidance to both undeclared freshmen and upper class mathematics and operations research majors. The guidance for the freshmen focused on identification of strengths and weaknesses related to academic programs so they could make an informed decision about an academic major. The mentoring for math and operations research majors focused on decisions about courses to take, grad school opportunities to pursue, and participation in semester exchange programs. Finally, I took on a few additional departmental duties: faculty mentor, liaison with registrar, and athletic team tutor. As a faculty mentor, I provided help and support to instructors new to the department and new to teaching in the form of classroom observations and one-on-one discussions. As the liaison to the registrar, I coordinated the scheduling of all courses offerings, room assignments, and final exam offerings. As an athletic team tutor, I provided on-the-road tutoring for athletes who requested help due to missed classes.
