As an OSA Ambassador, I hope to serve the community by sharing my skills, resources, and experiences. I plan to mentor current OSA student chapters, especially those in Italy, and also I hope to inspire new chapters to begin. I want to focus on practical skills such as time management, working collaboratively in groups, and how to communicate science. Additionally, I want to share tools for effective optics education outreaches. I have done much studying on the science of teaching and learning,… Show more As an OSA Ambassador, I hope to serve the community by sharing my skills, resources, and experiences. My research interests are terahertz (THz) generation with Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) and the study of 2D materials such as graphene with scattering scanning near-field optical microscopy (s-SNOM). My goals are to explore the possibilities of QCL passive mode-locking and to develop practical device applications based on 2D materials for THz applications.
