  I was appointed Director of the Office of Budget and Management by Governor Mike DeWine on January 14, 2019. Serving as the Chief Financial Officer under the leadership of Governor DeWine, I oversee the office that develops, coordinates and monitors the individual budgets of state agencies, provides the Governor and administration with policy analysis, and reviews all financial transactions made with public funds.I also serve as a member of the Executive Committee of the National Association of State Budget Officers, representing the Midwest Region, and as a member of the federal Advisory Committee on Data for Evidence Building.

  As the COO for then-Attorney General DeWine, I led all operational sections of the Ohio Attorney General's Office, including Budget & Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Risk Management & Internal Audit, Records Management, and the Law Library. Created and supervised CyberOhio, an initiative aimed at helping Ohio businesses fight back against cyber attacks. Provided direct oversight for and managed the construction of a state-of-the-art forensic crime lab and investigatory facility for the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation on the campus of Bowling Green State University.

  Directed ground-up implementation of the Educational Choice Scholarship program and established efficient program policies and procedures. Managed the creation of a cost-effective Web-based system for scholarship application, review, award, and payment that is accessed by private and public schools and department staff and that resulted in savings of over $200,000 in initial program implementation costs. Developed program communications plan and implemented public relations and marketing efforts to inform over 200 private schools and 100,000 eligible parents. Responded to extensive media and legislative inquiries and provided program reports to all stakeholder groups. Hired and managed program staff and implemented professional development planning protocols to retain staff, resulting in zero turnover in five years.
