  I serve as the Co-Artistic Director for The All-In(clusive) NYC Teen Theater Ensemble, the first-ever NYC Department of Education citywide theater company, reflecting the broad diversity and artistry of our public school teen performers of all abilities. Under the guidance of the NYCDOE Arts Office, the program invites student artists from all five boroughs to collaborate, devise, stage and produce an original musical alongside master theater artists from across the NYC professional world.   The New York Deaf Theatre, LTD (NYDT) was established in 1979 by a group of Deaf actors and theatre artists who wanted to create opportunities for the production of a dramatic art form that was not found elsewhere in New York City: plays in American Sign Language (ASL). A not-for-profit, professional theatre organization, NYDT is the longest running company of its kind in the greater New York City area and the third oldest Deaf Theatre company in America. I worked for 4 years as the Development Director for NYDT, and my responsibilities include grant writing, fundraising events and maintaining and developing our current and future donors. While working for NYDT, I assisted in planning all our major fundraising events and smaller community events to raise awareness and support for our company and the Deaf community, which raised over $150,000 in total over the years. I also was responsible for the creation of the NYDT donor program: The Donor Circle, which helped NYDT raise over $20,000 in less than two years. Show less

  I had the pleasure of working on The Public Theater's musical production of TWELFTH NIGHT by Shaina Taub, at the Delacorte Theater for Shakespeare In The Park. In my role as ASL Music Coach, I worked with the ASL Director, Jeremy Lee Stone and choreographer, Lorin Latarro on coordinating the timing and placement of the ASL translations into the movement and choreography for the show. I also worked with the Deaf actors on learning the translations and timing with the music. In addition, I served as one of the ASL-English interpreters on this production, primarily focused on interpreting in rehearsals, production meetings and backstage for the Deaf actors involved in this production. I continued to provide interpreting services for Public Works at their member events after the production ended. Show less

  I was the General Manager/Owner of a neighborhood cafe/bar in Williamsburg, responsible for day to day operations, business development, orders, hiring and managing staff, etc. I regularly supervised weekly and annual event planning and management for groups of 10-100+. I was personally responsible for growing our customer base and expanding our clientele since we opened in 2006. Unfortunately, our business was forced to close in 2018 due to the ongoing and egregious increase in rents occurring all over Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Show less
