This includes all the cakes and confectionary on the front counter, the drinks fridge, the condiments display, ensuring that tea's and coffees are ready for serving and the cutlery was polished. The primary responsiblity was to serve customers, this entailed extensive product knowlege, impeccable customer service, performing monetary transactions, maintaining and using technological equipment and reporting any issues to the line manager.Food run & Clearing Tables; Within this role the main responsibilities consisted of delivering prepared food to the correct customer, completing table check backs to ensure that the food is meeting the high standards we strive for, clearing used dishes and occassionally dealing with minor complaints. Food Preparation; During the morning one of the first tasks to be performed as Kitchen staff was set up your station in compliance with FSA and begin food preparation, this varied from chopping salad, filling panini rolls to be toasted to order and precooking main meals ensuring that it is probed to the temperatures set by the FSA. In addition we had to ensure that all food produce is correctly dated once sealed packets have been broken.Kitchen Porter/Pot washing; As a pot washer I had to ensure that there was an effiecient yet effective flow of clean dishes being provided to the kitchen staff to enable them to keep up with the order demands.       As a Yard Groom the duties and responibilities are wide and varied. Some of duties included: Yard Management; ensure smooth running of the yard to the time efficiency set by the yard manager. Care and Welfare; Responible for the care and welfare of each of the animals which includes: mucking out, feeding, grooming, health checks and occassionally assisting in the transportation of animals. Cleaning and Maintenance; Each day there we different deep cleaning tasks to be performed. These tasks ranged from cleaning tack to bleaching stable floors, on occassion there were other maintenance task to be performed such as fixing fencing in the paddocks. Field Management; Follow and understand the importance of field maintenance. Rotation of grazing and different forms of field management from strip grazing to open plan. Following the guidelines set by the yard manager to rotate the grazing feilds. In addition, turning horses out and bringing them in at the time specified my the manager. Exercising and Training Equines; Aquired responsibility of excerising and training specified horses on the yard in accordance with their training levels. As a backing and breaking livery yard all the horses were at different stages in their training and we had to be sensitve to this. Training varied from getting the horse used to tack, basic handling and much more. Excercising the equines consisted of schooling, hacking, long reining, lunging and occassionally free schooling.
