I am a new instructor at Ashworth college, and I would like to share how enjoyable and effective the onboarding process was that Kimberley lead new hires through. I started working as an AutoCAD instructor in January 2020. As a new faculty member, I had to complete the New Faculty Orientation created and designed under Kimberley’s leadership. The New Faculty Orientation had valuable resources, several tutorial videos, and quizzes. All the orientation materials were informative, well prepared, and designed clearly. I not only enjoyed completing the orientation, but I was also able to begin working after completing it easily. Moreover, Kimberley created the Faculty Resource Center as a place to interact with colleagues and find the resources we need for our online classroom. During the onboarding process, I was introduced the Faculty Resource Center in a way that helped me connect with my peers and come away with the confidence that I could easily locate the necessary resources to carry out my duties. Kimberley has a natural talent for training and leading faculty, and also for creating a sense of belonging among her faculty. Kimberley is very skilled at using the LMS and was always available to support faculty and staff; she is a role model and an asset to any organization.

Kimberley was my superior for a few months though I was not her direct report. While working together I was privy to Kimberley’s extraordinary insight into institutional accreditation requirements and the processes required to meet and exceed them. Kimberley was a big supporter of the Virtual Library and Learning Center that I created and co-created. Kimberley was charged with maintaining and creating new Advisory Boards within the institution that we worked. Her ability to reach out and find the best fit for our programs and verticals was greatly valued. While we crossed paths for only a few months, we found common ground in our institution’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. I had been a founding member of the committee. Kimberley came on board at a time when we were reevaluating and making changes and her contributions and knowledge were exemplar. She created new onboarding procedures and assured the proper credentialing of new faculty and developed new guidelines for professional development. Kimberley had the tall task of overseeing and mentoring 200+ adjunct faculty involving 2 different learning management systems and differences in philosophy and procedures. Her ability to navigate these waters with compassion and aplomb is to her credit! She’s a hard worker and gives her all to whatever task she is completing! I am happy to say she is now a colleague and am honored to learn from her vast experience.
