In 2020 I took over Peer Agency (Reykjavík, Iceland) from a dear friend and fellow music manager. At Peer Agency we focus on creating a personal collaboration with our artists to manage and develop their career in a healthy and sustainable way, and to help them navigate today’s industry. From personal management, strategy development, to PR and tour management, we do it all. With our production services we focus on helping artists and other creatives realize their dream production (from videoclips to photoshoots) come true.

Reykjavík Ensemble was founded in 2019 by Pálina Jónsdóttir (theatre & opera director) and Ewa Marcinek (project manager & writer). The Ensemble is the first and only independent theatre in Iceland, having created an active, professional and inclusive platform for multinational artists and professionals from all over the world (including Iceland). Establishing collaborations with different branches of the creative industries, I was part of the creative team & production, taking care of internal and external communication, marketing, sponsorships, press and the management of the actual theatre shows. In 2020 we were celebrated and honored by the city with the title ‘Reykjavík’s Art Group of the 2020’.

IÐNÓ is a place of curiosities, ideas and dreams. Built as Reykjavík’s first theatre in 1897, the building combines history, tradition, culture and entertainment up to this day. Today it houses a cafe, restaurant, co-working space, music studios, and two historically beautiful concert halls. It’s a place where ideas, initiatives, events and cultures meet. From Iceland Airwaves to Bonobo, weddings to conferences, IÐNÓ housed it all. I, together with my coworker ran the café & bar, managed our staff, took care of both public events (concerts ranging from big established artists to festivals, with the highlight being an official Iceland Airwaves venue) and private events (Weddings, conferences, private parties), marketing, and event management.

As a music manager I’ve always been on the look out for fun projects to take on. I was taken on board to form a creative team, worked closely with the artist and talked strategy, releases, future plans, touring, sustainability in music, and everything else that comes to mind when talking artist management. It was a beautiful collaboration between international professionals who happened to find themselves in Iceland. As a music manager I’ve always been on the look out for fun projects to take on. • Sep 2018 - Feb 2019

When both the Bar manager and Event manager positions opened up, I offered to merge both roles in one and take them on. With my previous experience at Loft and in the music industry I was very excited to take on this new challenge.EventsLoft as a venue focusses on sharing both national and international talent (musicians, writers, projects etc.) with our local and international public. As Event Manager I was responsible for creating a diverse and multicultural event calendar each month, packed with events that speak to our core values and to involve the local and traveling community. Maintaining good relationships with my network, working with a budget, negotiating, creating collaborations, online and offline promotion, designing promotional material, stage management and making sure the events run smoothly when they take place are some of my responsibilities.BarAs the only SWAN-certified (green) bar in Iceland, managing Loft's bar and involved satisfying the necessary requirements and standards set by Farfuglar and SWAN. I was responsible for everything bar related; the staff, scheduling, stock & price management (keeping the event calendar in mind), maintaining good relations with our suppliers, striking deals and sponsorships, and making sure the bar always operates & looks at it best all the time.

    • Bartender, Events & Media, Reception at Loft
      • Jan 2017 - Feb 2019

Loft in Reykjavík is part of HI Iceland, and we promote and encourage people of all ages to travel, increase their knowledge, experience, and appreciation of and respect for nature and culture. Loft as a venue focusses on sharing mostly national but also international artists, musicians, writers, projects etc. with our local and international public. My role in this is to make sure all our events run smoothly and are properly promoted. As Teamleader I am responsible for my staff and the daily operations in reception and Loft as a whole. As both bartender and receptionist I promote our values to our guests and help them have the time of their life. As Loft Life's assistant editor and social media expert I make sure we create and share valuable content with our public. Overall Loft is a very warm, cosy place and considered a home away from home for both locals and globetrotters. And me.

    • Team Leader
      • May 2018 - Sep 2018

During my time at Loft I enjoyed the extra role as Team Leader. Taking on the Reception Manager's responsibilities as she went on maternity leave, I was responsible for all staff and the daily operations at the hostel. Working closely with HR and the other Reception Managers, I was involved in (not limited to) booking processes, collaborations with companies as Tourdesk, GoDo, booking channels et al., hiring procedures, scheduling, training staff, billing processes, and a lot of other tasks to maintain the daily operations of Iceland's awarded best hostel.

Evalytics is a start up that currently focusses on maximizing the quality of education within schools and universities. By offering a unique evaluation tool, I closely work together with our clients to make sure they complete the university's PDCA-cycle and thus optimize their studies based on the needs and feedback of their students. Apart from that, I play a key role within the organization as I take care of the communication and support, translate the needs of our clients to technical solutions, while doing some designing on the side. We're very happy to be working with some of the Netherland's biggest schools and universities, and are looking forward to expanding our expertise by broadening our focus to prevention when it comes to mental health issues and bullying within universities and companies.

During my time at Loft I gained more experience in event management, digital marketing and stage management. It was also great fun getting to know the inner workings if an international and multifunctional hostel with it's own SWAN-certified bar and venue. During Iceland Airwaves, Loft was an official off-venue and I took on the role of stage manager, making sure everything went smoothly and that all the artists, their crew, the audience and the hostel guests were happy. I worked full time at the front office Product & Promotion of Holland's oldest label (Roadrunner Records/CNR Entertainment). My colleagues and I were responsible for making sure all the matters concerning physical and digital releases and productions were well taken care of (from artwork to production to all kinds of promotion). While focussing on communication and new media, I was also responsible for all the digital distribution of the label and the coördination of CNR's second edition of the Polder Party in honor of her 75th jubilee. I had a wonderful time and gained a lot of experience working at a big label.
