I had responsibility for ensuring that the Database and Booking modules of this software met the business needs and to plug any gaps, by working with the business to gather requirements and with the supplier (Open Destinations) to get the functional changes that were required developed and delivered in a timely manner. I had responsibility for 1 Tester and 1 developer, and I managed and coordinated their workloads and provide support for the work that they carried out (production of Acceptance Criteria, Test Cases and functional testing). This role required me to identify, define, document and present business requirements and deliver solutions through IT provisions and/or improvements in business processes accurately and efficiently. I was also tasked with improving existing business processes and to seek out areas where business and system processes could be better aligned to gain efficiencies. I was also the key link between the IT and Business sides of the project. I assisted both the IT Project Manager and Business Project Manager with defects, change requests and training users.
