As the Acting Director of Grants and Philanthropy, I managed a team of two grant officers while developing the scope of the business development officer role. I was responsible for preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. Donors of successful grants include the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Hugh D.T. Williamson Foundation. This role required regular liaising with the finance team and executive staff to prepare reports for corporate/foundation funders on current grant programs. I was also active in the recruitment process for my successor.
