I reported directly to Kim Kerker while she worked at Alley Cat Allies. She was a fantastic boss who was able to lead the entire Communications department while also collaborating with leadership and other departments. She is the best kind of boss, one that provides guidance as needed but also allows for personal creativity and growth within your own position. I highly recommend Kim as a strong leader for any team.

I specialized in non-profit, association, and small business marketing and communications support, including organizational and campaign-specific communications planning, collateral and publication creation, brand management and media relations strategy. STRATEGIC PLANNING: Collaborate with leaders to integrate the communications plan into the overall vision. Develop and direct multi-channel campaigns to fulfill an organization’s strategic vision. BRAND MESSAGING: Perform research and perception analysis to understand and transform an organization’s brand. Integrate storytelling into multi-faceted campaigns, adding authenticity to messaging. PROJECT EXECUTION: Analyze challenges and opportunities, and then lead creative / analytical teams to drive campaigns from conception to implementation. Develop all forms of communications collateral. CONTENT CREATION: Translate complex concepts into compelling content for targeted audiences. Deliver messaging across online and social media channels as well as traditional print. Serve as point person for the journalistic media, and coach leaders to be story champions. Show less
