Times change, people grow, people change but thankfully Kim is one person who hasn't. I remember writing a note about her on here but since then Kim has grown into becoming the Business Development Manager at Agility. A position she richly deserves I remember the many conversations I have had with her about getting a BD role - so Kim you got it finally. I really hope that she can add India to her portfolio because I know customers would get the best support from her. Her helpfulness is legendary, at least as far as I am concerned but whenever I meet her and find someone or other popping by with - Kim, can you help on this? - I know she is the person who does one too many scouts good deed of the day. Whether it be after sales, sales support she has done it all and I know that with the sales person having moved on to his next sale, Kim has been handling the whatever fires that get lit by anybody. The amazing thing is that she puts out these fires and the irritated customer finally has to smile and relax. With this background, Kim in her new role I am sure can get customers to give Agility more business. Even though she has visited India just twice for attending a show, I find even today some people asking about her. She has that kind of effect on people she meets. The reason for that is simple - she is sincere - there is no pretense, no false smile, no act. Not very easy to find such people especially in BD and Sales. She is perceptive, intelligent, hard working, a quick learner who grasps things fast and can articulate issues very well - very important qualities for someone with a customer interface where the market idiosyncrasies are so wide. Personally she has been a sounding board, someone with who I could vent my frustrations on and every time her confidence in me was remarkable. It was much more than what I had myself. So I keep telling her that the she richly deserves a share of the success of India. I wish her all the best in her new role and I am sure she will be a success at this also like all else and Kim - India needs a lot of BD work and who better than you to get involved. 6 years ago when Hexagon started exploring the Indian market finding someone to visit India for a industrial exhibition was a challenge. Kim not only volunteered to come but was a enthusiastic learner and a excellent person in building relationships. Long after the event was over so many people across the industry who I met kept asking about her. She has that uncanny knack to get past the diffidence that any person would have when meeting someone for the first time. Before you know it, you would be talking to her as if you knew her for long. When she leaves you remember her for her sincerity, involvement, keenness to help you and above all a genuine concern for you. The icing on the cake so to speak is that this doesn't end with the sales talk but gets carried over into actual execution of the business. These are rare qualities for someone working in a sales & biz development role since most folks in such roles are more talkers than doers. She again visited India subsequently and even if she did not have a direct role in all issues, she made it a point to be involved and many a time would offer advice and help when needed and more importantly would be a great motivator and encouraging when things were not going too well. If a customer or anyone did not get something in a timely manner she would get worked up as if she herself was the customer. Ultimately when we needed the final approvals in India & hit a simple administrative roadblock of needing hundreds of documents notarized, she stepped in saying she was a official Notary public and then proceeded to give me a simple solution to signing all the documents. Her willingness to help people is such that she would volunteer to take care of the office front desk or go for a airport pickup or drop or go for that tough customer meeting or make that company presentation to a visitor on behalf of a colleague. She coordinates with folks around the world to get reports and updates for management meetings and follows up diligently - I keep getting amazed at her multi tasking As a person Kim is very helpful, affectionate and caring and a wonderful human being and friend. Its a pleasure to write this genuine recommendation for her and she is a invaluable asset to any company. I wish her all the best
