I assist in the socialization of undergraduate nursing students into the profession of nursing. This includes the provision of content and also support and mentoring during clinical experiences. I currently teach in the 3rd and 4th year of the program and act as the programs 4th year lead. I am a member of the curriculum committee and have had responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of courses. I was a co researcher on a Ministry of Health and Long Term Care project assessing Leadership Development status and needs in long term care facilities.I was a research assistant on a project with Queens University that was investigating recruitment, retention and practice issues for nurses working in rural settings within one LHIN in Ontario.More recently I have been serving as a Research Assistant for the RNAO in the development and revision of best practice guidelines. I am currently co creating a systematic review for the conflict BPG. Show less
