Kiley Hayward is one of the best managers I’ve ever had, and I’m thankful to still have her as a mentor today! After working closely with her for three years, these are the top things that struck me most about her: 1. Project Management: Kiley is extremely organized and is a machine when it comes to launches – not only can she can be relied on to get the job done, she does so efficiently while exceeding expectations. But don’t let the metaphor fool you. Unlike machines, Kiley is constantly thinking of how we can incorporate new and creative elements into announcements, campaigns, etc. so that we always delivered fresh ideas to our clients. Not to mention, she’s quick to address feedback and keeps an open mind so that when processes fail, she’s already working on a new solution to keep things running smoothly. 2. Leadership: Kiley will always remind you to never lose sight of the big picture, no matter how deep in the trenches you might be. She keeps the team motivated through her constant positivity. And because she places so much value in building relationships with individual team members, she’s been able to earn the trust of senior leadership and junior staff alike. It’s hard to be a leader when you don’t see your teams every day, but Kiley made it look easy! 3. Mentorship: Kiley has had such a big influence on who I am as a professional today, especially in building my confidence. She helped me navigate through new challenges I had as a new supervisor – whether it was with providing client counsel or managing teams. She never let me back away from making uncomfortable choices and always reminded me that these are the ones that would help me grow. At the same time, she never let me feel alone and always offered a sounding board when I needed it. Any team would be lucky to have Kiley, and I couldn't have asked for a better manager and mentor!
