• Before becoming Account Director I previously led the Enterprise function (now Innovation), within the Guildhall School with the overall aim of generating an entrepreneurial culture amongst students and staff both undergraduate & postgraduate level, and growing third stream activity • As Enterprise lead part of my role involved working with the Barbican Centre in developing a commercial strategy that made best use of the organisation’s skills and venues and to maximise potential synergies available across the partnership• Key priority areas included: the development of a Creative Entrepreneurship Scheme for new start-ups, short courses and CPD and other business initiatives • I was also responsible in implementing a social media strategy to support the Enterprise department’s business facing activities and for achieving income and net contribution as per the annual budget and business plan• A key remit was to develop strategic external partnerships that benefit the School economically, artistically, educationally and socially including the launch of a major new project with China’s Central Academy of Drama (Beijing)• I continue to work on encouraging multidisciplinary projects across sectors including the City of London’s Cultural Mile initiative/Guildhall Libraries & Events developing joint projects in relation to technology and digital learning• Responsible to the School's Head of Innovation and Vice Principal of Innovation & Engagement
