During this week (Mon 22nd - Fri 25th June), my understanding of commercial awareness and the legal market has improved. The scheme gave me useful insight into different areas of the law, such as employment and insolvency, as well as important skills including 'employagility'.

Generalist (Events Management & Guest Liaison)
-
Apr 2019 - Jun 2019
My role as a Generalist entailed two main responsibilities. I dealt with events management which involved preparing for events by making sure that the chamber was set up ready. As a guest liaison officer, I made sure that speakers got to and from the Union, and that they felt welcome there. I was responsible for notable speakers such as Dame Inga Beale & former Prime Minister of New Zealand Bill English.
