Bright Network Commercial Law Virtual Internship

For three days between the 14th and 16th of July 2020, I participated in a virtual internship organised by Bright Network on Commercial Law. The experience involved attending a number of enriching seminars as well as completing a work sample which required us to complete a presentation that would assist the client with an acquisitions transaction.

Human Rights Law Virtual Internship

I spent around 5-6 hours (From 20th - 23rd June 2020) participating in the Leo Cussen Human Rights Law Virtual Internship. The internship allowed me to engage with issue of Australian Law such as disability discrimination, employment and deportation. The modules included: Module 1What does the client require? Virtual Vacation Scheme

During this week (Mon 22nd - Fri 25th June), my understanding of commercial awareness and the legal market has improved. The vacation scheme consisted of a number of talks with exercises for myself to complete. The scheme gave me useful insight into different areas of the law, such as employment and insolvency, as well as important skills including 'employagility'.

Work Experience at Reynolds Dawson Solicitors

Between July 8th - July 12th 2019, I had another week of work experience at Reynolds Dawson Solicitors. As well as reading over case files, I accompanied solicitors to client meetings. I was also able to witness proceedings at Hendon Magistrate's Court.

For one week between July 8th - July 12th 2018, I had work experience at Reynolds Dawson Solicitors. Tasks included transcribing videos and reading over cases. I was also able to accompany one of the solicitors to a meeting with their client. Further, I had the opportunity to witness proceedings at Southwark Crown Court.

During the one week that I spent here (Feb 20th - Feb 24th 2017), I did administrative work such as filing documents and franking the mail. Furthermore, I also helped with BACS payment instructions and referral fee payments.
