    • Chair
      • Jan 2006 - Dec 2014

Reflecting his interest and commitment to the visual arts, Kieran was the Chair of the Mark Howlett Foundation (MHF) for many years. The MHF was an incorporated, not-for-profit arts organisation established in 1991 with a focus to support mid-career West Australian artists using an innovative and sustainable subscription model. The fundamental was to provide a space for artistic exploration and experimentation, enabling an artist to create a substantial body of work over a period of 12 to18 months, free from financial and thematic or curatorial restrictions. The MHF sought out and coordinated a group of patrons or subscribers who contributed financially to the commissioned artist’s one-off project. On completion, subscribers receive an original artwork as well as a suite of prints. Show less
