A&B Glass Commissioning Leader 2018 – Present Joining A&B Glass in 2018 PVC Windows and Doors carrying out a brand new role within the company. Leading/managing a team of 4 engineers to ensure our customers have fully working double glazed windows to provide the best possible, easy start to purchasing their first New Build home. My day to day tasks include: Booking in appointments from sites to carry out Commissioning service Organising Engineers work a week in advance Printing and organising work sheets, specification sheets and risk assessments Route Planning (finding the most efficient route, time saving and cost saving) Day to Day inspections of Engineers Van to ensure they are clean and fully stocked so we can carry all work out set. Making sure glass/product is ordered in time within the lead times for the jobs booked Speaking to site managers daily to ensure they are happy with the service we are providing and to book in future work to ensure we meet there deadlines. Organising holiday arrangements for engineers (cover for when engineers are off) Booking Hotels for overnight stays Once all windows and doors are installed we aim to commission 4-6weeks after the initial fit. When the engineers go out to commission due to there being 4-6 weeks we find a lot of damage to our products due to other trades i.e. handles, vents, mechanisms, barrels, beading and glass. Once the engineers discover damaged product I ask that they write their findings on their Commissioning pads and report all damage back to myself so I can then speak to site to give them a quote, if they accept and provide a signed site instruction with the agreed amount, we can carry out and complete majority of the work on the day of visit (apart from glass due to lead times) to prevent a second visit for the same job (cost/time saving). Tamdown Group {Apprentice} May 2015 – November 2017 I gained an apprentice position at Tamdown in Braintree and attended Bircham Newton Construction Collage in Norfolk. The opportunity not only gave me qualifications in the construction industry but also taught me important life lessons. My time at the college was a fantastic experience and interacting with the college teachers and working as part of a team with the other students made learning exciting. I gained many certificates and great praise from my instructors while at collage these enabled me to gain a Merit Pass in Cskills Awards Level 2 Diploma Construction Operations –General Construction [QCF] Since leaving collage I have worked on various Tamdown Sites carrying out essential work which I have taken great pride in.
