After success and interest in my university dissertation project I am now commercialising the concept and continuing to develop more product. Revive Innovations is a sustainably aligned design start-up creating innovative new products from the re-purposing of previously adored objects as they become a waste product within society. Here I created and ran engaging arts, design and sports activity sessions for groups of up to 30 children. The children attending the activities were from a variety of countries around the world and aged between 12-16. The main focus of the activities was to encourage the students to improve their English language skills through engaging with other students. This was achieved via creating fun and challenging tasks to be carried out within mixed groups of pupils. During the time I spent at this company I gained an insight into the design world and learnt about the design process, I spent time with the design and development team, learning how they took a new product from concept to prototype. I designed an exterior light housing using Solidworks and helped out with a photo shoot for the on-line catalogue.
