  I worked managing the restaurant area, I ran a team of seven members of staff, arranged staff rota’s and took part in weekly meetings with the chefs and owners. My work involved meeting and greeting customers, order taking, and serving food with a high level of customer service and a positive attitude always. I enjoyed this role as it enabled me to meet new people and interact with them both face to face and on the telephone, making the most of my cheerful personality. My role also involved bar work and I am fully trained in bartending. I was responsible for the open and closing shifts, as well as the mentoring and training of new members of staff. I find this part of my job gave me great satisfaction as I enjoyed watching new members of the team flourish. I also had access to the Swan and Cemetery Facebook account which I used to respond to comments and direct messages.

  I have worked for Vicky Kennedy Research, as and when I have been needed, on a temporary basis. My role as a recruiter entails sourcing appropriate respondents, that meet the criteria required by our clients, using a large data base. I also interview respondents, mainly over the phone, making use of my friendly yet professional manner. I take part in hostessing market research sessions, usually at a variety of hotels in and around Manchester City Centre. This includes meeting, greeting and signing respondents in. I enjoy this part of the job as I love meeting and speaking to a large diversity of new people. I am responsible for making sure all respondents attend on time, which I do so by sending out texts the day before and of the focus groups/interviews. I am also responsible for handling cash and paying respondents at the end of the session.

  I worked at Zara Cakes for over two years, throughout my last two years of high school, every weekend and during school holidays. My work originally started as a kitchen hand, generally assisting with the design and baking of the cakes, managing stock in the kitchen and serving customers. I also dealt with a large range of customers whilst order taking over the phone, managing the main shop counter and responding to emails. I then moved on to managing the cupcake orders and handling cash payments. Throughout the December period, I managed the stall at the Manchester Christmas Markets and most of the time did this single handed. I enjoyed this as it allowed me to interact with the general public on a much larger scale and showed me a different side to the business. I had access to the Zara Cakes instagram and facebook account and took part in running it over the last year I was there; creating post and responding to direct messages.
