I started off working in the DNA department where I would process swabs in preparation for PCR extraction, as well as processing evidence from the police which included logging the details on the computer system. I then moved into the drugs department where I would carry out drugs purity analysis, which required me to use precise measuring equipment to accurately create a chemical reaction, which will then allow us to find out the percentage of the drug mixed with other substances.
