I met Kiarash when I was a Maintenance Engineer and he was responsible for the Maintenance processes and business systems at the Product Line HQ. I had the privilege of working with Kiarash in several high-profile process improvement initiatives counting with his support and guidance. In terms of change management, innovation, and continuous improvement, Kiarash is a strong leader extremely intelligent and charismatic to exercise lateral leadership, always focused on conquering cross-functional objectives. Kiarash’s leadership style is a hard to find blend between pace-setter and affiliative as he succeeds in achieving higher levels of performance imprinting a sense of urgency through a sound criteria to focus and prioritize whatever impacts both the business and customer delivery path, and at the same time he is able to harmonize conflicting or competing objectives across various teams, building trust and camaraderie wherever he goes. Kiarash is pragmatic and rigorous to diagnose complex problems holistically, addressing root causes effectively, and taking every opportunity to improve processes and systems with scalable solutions. I worked with Kiarash for most of the last 5 years. During that time, I held a global technical position related to managing and maintaining SLB assets. Kiarash led the global effort for asset management of a specific product line. Managing assets for operations at a global level is no small task. Interacting, mostly remotely, with people at all levels in a large corporation and it requires more influencing then organizational authority. It requires a clear vision and good communication skills. The results of his tenure show he was able to perform well at an international level. Kiarash was well respected within his organization and by the technical maintenance community. His personal characteristics include self-motivation and direction, honesty, a strong work ethic, a positive, can-do attitude. Always respectful and professional in his interactions with customers and everyone in the organization. Kiarash demonstrated a collaborative teamwork approach focused on delivering measurable results and a strong commitment to continuous improvement. He showed he was consistently willingly to challenge the status quo in an effort to improve productivity and quality for better customer experience and business results. Kiarash is a good leader. He is inclusive, fosters creativity and communicates clearly to his team and provides coaching and mentorship and ensures their personal development. He is an active listener, takes constructive criticism and can deliver the same to motivate his team and peers. Kiarash has good project management skills. He can shape a vision and then create a roadmap of the tasks required, along with the resources, roles and responsibilities to arrive at the goal.
