During my service, I led operations, maintenance, resilience, and security of classified and unclassified local area networks. This included managing upgrades, backups, and system restores; maintaining systems that provided critical voice and data communications between ships and on-shore command posts, including during deployments; and training and mentoring personnel. Achievements: • Led risk management and information security for more than 200 assets, including conducting security scans, applying patches, and ensuring continuous monitoring of systems and networks. • Sustained 100% accountability and zero COMSEC incidents for three years while monitoring more than 1500 classified line items. • Managed inventory control and disposal of 500 classified hard drives in compliance with policies. • Collaborated with the vendor and internal leadership to ensure business continuity during system upgrades and a full system restoration. • Revamped Body of Evidence documentation, especially focusing on Emergency Action Plans, to ensure consistent IT accountability and strategies for real-world scenarios. • Acted as the System Administrator for the Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) and supported more than 300 users that relied on the network for personnel movements and logistics. • Selected by leadership to guide the testing and installation of new systems for ships.
