The students wrote letters, created videos and ate American food sent by 70 students in the States. • Taught English language with five different credentialed teachers at middle school. • Created an “English camp”: consisted of 70 members/ 6 other Peace Corps volunteers. English lessons/games taught for a two-day period at the middle school. Students learned about American culture. • Created an English room in the middle school with books in English and American games. • Led a painting project on the classroom walls with the students, which included a world map and inspirational quotes in English. • Created an After School Program for local neighborhood elementary-aged students. Taught English lessons, plus took field trips. Met six times weekly. • Taught English at two local elementary schools, all grades, 2-3 times a week. • Taught 7 different students English in one-on-one sessions, twice a week. • Served as a judge for various events testing students use of the English language. • Gave speeches/led discussions about American culture at multiple schools across East Java. • Language level for Indonesian is intermediate.
