Legal Administrator
-
Dec 2017 - Aug 2019
I was previously employed as a Legal Administrator/PA in the Treasury Legal Services Department of AIB. My job role involved dealing with my managers calendar, filing, organising meetings, etc. I also helped other solicitors on the team with legal work that is required for various wholesale or customer transactions that take place in the Treasury department, which is the business that we support in the bank. I helped the team by sending off legal agreements, writing to various counter parties to organise the signing of agreements and dealing with internal business colleagues to get more information about the transactions. I also processed invoices for the department through the online system we have called Coupa. I also have experience working with performance bonds. This role will be beneficial to me as it is such a specific area of law that I would not have got exposure to by working in some law firms. I have had a lot of training in regards to legal and administrative procedures that will be useful to me in any future job role I take on.

Legal Assistant

Oct 2017 - Dec 2017
Worked as a Legal Intern in a General Practice with the Principal of the firm. I mainly dealt with clients issues that involved probate, family and property law. I received excellent one on one training from the Principal and the Legal Secretary who taught me a lot about these areas of law, organisation and professional writing skills, for example written letters/emails to lawyers or property agents. I gained a lot of hands on experience in my role in this solicitors office that can be applied to any role I take on in the future.

Bartender and Waiting Staff
-
Mar 2014 - Dec 2017
I worked as a Bartender and Waitress. It was a very varied role. It will be useful and transferable in the skills it has provided me over the years while I pursue my future occupation in the legal field. I undertook a number of different roles in this job such as: -Taking orders -Greeting customers -Dealing with cash and card payments -Getting change for the till when low and taking out a till at the beginning of certain shifts -Serving numerous customers needs at once while making sure the customer receives a pleasant and satisfactory experience while dining in either of the two bars in the hotel -Making barista style coffees and various cocktails, as well as specific drink requests This job will be applicable to the administrative or legal field as having to work under pressure and meet various people's needs in an orderly fashion is also important in that field.
