  In this role, I worked to make content for publication on the Berkeley B-Side website. To do this, I performed the following tasks: Wrote live performance coverage requests; saw requests through to pass acquirement, covered live music events with photo pass, met 72-hour coverage-to-publish deadline, developed and submitted pitches to meet two-a-month piece quota, and collaborated with team members for creative development of pitches and articles.   Worked under Dr. Gabriel Lenz and his research assistant Jacob Levy. Assisted the development of theory for future book by collecting data from newspaper archives using ProQuest database, narrowing 1000s of results down to sets of 50-200 to allow for effective sorting in order to find reported murders in the Jim Crow South. After analyzing accuracy of location through cross-referencing with multiple sources, logged accurate results into detailed Google Sheets spreadsheet for future detailed analysis.
