Create professional devolvement to help foster understanding and appreciation for diversity, equity and inclusion within the educational system and community. Planned and taught differentiated English lessons to students of Limited English Proficient (LEP) students grouped by grade and English proficiency level. Implemented individual and small-group re-teaching to support students in core academic courses via pull-out. Designed 120+ Individualized English Language Plans (I-ELPs) and made placement decisions based on LEP students’ varied academic and linguistic backgrounds. Monitored LEP and exited (FLEP) students’ progress toward their individual academic goals and English language goals in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Fostered ongoing collaboration with general education teachers to accommodate lessons and curriculum across all subject areas in order reduce language barrier. Planned and led professional development for faculty at Trace Crossings and for district Professional Development Days.
