It was a great pleasure and privilege to work alongside Khun at Water.org. Khun was the innovative and driving force behind the development of Water.org's newest program channel focused on technical advisory services to urban and rural water utilities in Cambodia, Philippines and Indonesia. He is a great project manager, thinker, and dedicated colleague.

I have had the tremendous privilege of working with Khun during my time both at Water.org and now WaterEquity. From innovation and great team work skills, to entrepreneurship and delivering results, Khun is an outstanding professional and an excellent innovator in the field of water and sanitation. I highly recommend him if you are considering hiring him on your team. I worked with Khun for the first time on our donor visit to Indonesia organized for the IKEA Foundation in early 2016. Khun impressed me on the get-go with his positive attitude, in-depth water utility knowledge, strong appetite to look outside the box, dedication to his work, and sense of humor. As the Director of Strategic Alliance at that time, I received positive feedback from the foundation on our work and it highly came from Khun’s contributions. Khun has progressed significantly over the past three years beyond his role as a Portfolio Manager. His ability to work in a startup environment and be humble with his achievements is very admirable. Khun gets things done. He demonstrated his capability of making our water utility ready for grant funding, while producing results and testing new innovations. After I moved to lead WaterEquity’s Business Development, Khun continued to proactively keep me informed with Water.org's water utility program. The program updates are imperative to communicate to potential investors.

Producer and Curator, Open Space: A Storytelling Showcase
-
Apr 2020 - Nov 2020
Being vulnerable, honest, and open makes us emotionally connected and unite as a community. That's why founded Open Space: A Storytelling Showcase. Open Space solved two problems:First, we focus too much on working and running our businesses. That sadly makes us not OPEN up to show who we really are. Being authentic, honest, and vulnerable are what we need!Second, there is no SPACE for storytellers to practice telling their stories. Many people may dream of doing a TEDx Talk in the future but there is no stage to practice. People got to listen to raw and real stories. Many were inspired enough to share their own story and decided to do something differently in your life.

Producer, Story Slam
-
Aug 2019 - Mar 2020
Organizing my own story slam was once just a dream. It became a reality! I organized five Dojo Story Slams and I heard a total of 56 stories. Here’s how it all began: I went to The Moth in San Francisco and fell in love with it right away. The concept of storytelling was new to me back at that time. I had goosebumps listening to people’s personal stories. I even cried because I was so touched by a Japanese woman’s story. The initial idea of producing a story slam came to me after the Moth ended that night. I participated in the Public Speaking, Storytelling, and Media Training workshop at Dojo Bali in May 2019. This experience sparked the idea of having a story slam here in Bali, Indonesia. I wanted other location independent people to experience the same feelings and emotions I had that night in San Francisco. By the time I knew it, I took the leap and organized the inaugural Story Slam in August 2019. Dojo Monthly Story Slam brings me joy, tears, and connections.

The goal of Khunapong’s vlog was to equip young water professionals with the knowledge to start their water entrepreneurial journey and help achieve universal access to water.
