In this role, I designed large industrial site improvement plans for clients using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D. I also analyzed earthwork to minimize export-import operations and bedrock conflicts. I collaborated with geotechnical engineers to investigate ground conditions, soil samples, and in situ tests. I always look for areas that I can introduce process improvements. For example, I developed LISP code and introduced company-wide AutoCAD standards and procedures for deploying AutoCAD Civil 3D. Other key work included: • Designed large industrial site improvement plans, using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, utility, cross sections, profiles, detour and pavement marking plans. • Conducted drainage studies, pond analysis, and storm sewer designs, using Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs, TR-20, Express, and Excel. • Led projects by setting objectives, guiding and training team members, and tracking project progress. • Prepared documentation to obtain permits in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for large roadway and public and private improvement projects. • Performed routine site inspections; managed pay requests; oversaw contracts, and coordinated design revisions while serving as a resident engineer on an interchange improvement project. • Developed LISP code and company-wide AutoCAD standards and procedures for deploying AutoCAD Civil 3D.
