Virology research: Under the supervision of Dr. Craig Brunetti, I investigated the influence of externally administered cytokinins and nucleotides on the replication of Frog Virus 3. This particular double-stranded ranavirus affects cold-blooded vertebrates and is playing a significant role in the alarming decline of amphibian populations. My research primarily involved using and studying fish cell lines, specifically Epithelioma papulosum cyprini (EPC), as the host for this virus.
