I attended a day-long virtual event with Young Professionals, where I heard speakers from various law firms such as Fragomen, Freeths and Charles Russell Speechlys. I took part in activities that helped give me an insight into the different skills that law firms look for when recruiting. Mooting Competition Participant
-
Feb 2023 - Feb 2023
I entered a mooting competition and was one of 18 out of 100 applicants, chosen to participate. Every week, me and my mentor would have to create a skeleton argument and a bundle of authorities and hand them in at a specific time. We would then moot via zoom. I was knocked out but am still grateful to have been given the opportunity. I entered a mooting competition and was one of 18 out of 100 applicants, chosen to participate. Intern at Law Firm
-
Oct 2022 - Oct 2022
During my half term, I went to a high street soliciting firm to undertake a week of work experience. I did admin work such as answering phone calls and responding to emails so I also shadowed an apprentice and was able to see the tasks she would complete such as applying for Visa and work permits.
