  As a radiation therapist, my first role is to administer radiation treatment to patients who are undergoing radiation therapy. I’m working as a main part of the RT team that includes radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals. My primary responsibility is to ensure that patients receive the correct dose of radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. I use advanced equipment and technology to deliver the radiation precisely to the affected area of the body, while minimizing exposure to healthy tissue. Specially at Baheya foundation, I’m working on Varian’s machines as TrueBeam and IX and softwares as ARIA. I’m also working closely with patients, providing them with education and emotional support throughout their treatment. I explain the treatment process, answer any questions they may have, and help them manage any side effects or discomfort that may occur. In radiation therapy safety is a top priority, and we take many precautions to ensure the well-being of patients, including monitoring them during treatment and following strict safety protocols. Overall, as a radiation therapist, I play a crucial role in helping patients fight cancer and achieve the best possible outcomes from their radiation therapy. Show less
