    • Chief Operating Officer and Interim Director of IMA
      • Feb 2021 - May 2023

During the last 21 months I have had the opportunity to lead the curatorial, interpretation, design, media and library and archives departments at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. This work in addition to my role as Chief Operating Officer has allowed me to return to the reason that I began working in museums in the 1990s, my love of the art. I have been able to make several strategic new acquisitions for the permanent collection. I have worked with the Visioning team to research and install test installations in the galleries in preparation for a museum-wide reinstallation project. We recently completed a four year renovation and reinstallation of the Clowes Pavilion pairing works in conversation with one another using a thematic approach. The level of engagement and response has been phenomenal. I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity during a period of leadership transition and am grateful for my colleagues on the executive team as well as our Board of Trustees who have supported these initiatives. • Chief Operating Officer
      • May 2017 - May 2023

In this critical role I am one of six members of the Executive Team at Newfields. In addition to managing collections, exhibitions and facilities operations the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for events, hospitality and the relatively new culinary arts program. In this role I also had the opportunity to create and begin implementation of the 30-year master plan focused on leveraging our assets to create an intuitive and seamless guest experience campus-wide. Newfields is fortunate to have 152-acres including a world class art museum, historic garden and the amazing Fairbanks Art and Nature Park. It is my role to work with my colleagues to develop programming and infrastructure that integrates curated food and beverage experiences with art and nature like nowhere else. I lead the institution's sustainability efforts creating a new board approved sustainability policy along with an action plan and dashboard to hold the institution accountable as we welcome more people than ever before.
