As data center manager I was responsible for establishing infrastructure ITIL processes and procedures to ensure the system provided mission critical 7/24/365 service levels. • Managed 18 month implementation of a multi-million dollar HP ES data center which processes Medicaid claims for the State of Georgia MMIS. • Achieved Federal system certification for the new MMIS within the first year of operation. • Planned and executed annual disaster recovery drills. • Managed all hardware and software vendor relationships. • Implemented a comprehensive monitoring and alerting solution for all components of infrastructure. The system monitors all servers, network components, telecommunications and supporting systems to ensure service availability. It also provided statistical data which was used to support system availability reporting metrics. • Managed service level agreements to ensure contract required targets are met or exceeded. • Served as interface between infrastructure teams, operational managers, and customer executive leadership. • Provided infrastructure technical consulting and cost impact for internal staff and customer requested enhancements. • Documented and managed problem and incident management processes and corrective procedures to ensure proper resolution and follow-up. • Managed and participated in multiple contract required and corporate audits. • Managed system issues by coordinating the isolation and diagnostics of impaired systems to restore business operations in a timely fashion.
