Analyze log aggregation and correlation data to protect a 5000+ asset enterprise network using an advanced SIEM collectively with other tools and techniques. As CSIRT Team Leader, investigate potentially malicious incidents and lead incident response from identification to recovery. Implemented a full and sweeping revision to the PSNS&IMF Incident Response SOP. The complete rewrite encompassed new incident response methodologies and processes. Created flowcharts detailing the full process of incident response. The organization now has an incident response process that is built upon industry standard best practices which can be followed with confidence in the event of a cyber threat within the network. Utilized Splunk's data analysis capabilities to compare thousands of assets from three data sources and scanning technologies. Achieved in Splunk in one day the needed analysis that took a separate branch many weeks to achieve using Microsoft Excel. Building on the previous analysis, developed an interactive Splunk dashboard, which instantly identifies disparities between asset lists and drills down by Host Name and/or Device type. The dashboard contains value-added statistics by Host Name and Device Type (category) and allows for ad-hoc exporting adding further usefulness to the dashboard. This enables the ability to easily identify unauthorized devices on the network, a top priority in cybersecurity. Level I Navy Qualified Validator (NQV). Coordinate with multiple Information System Owners and Managers to ensure Cybersecurity compliance through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization process on four Platform IT, two RDT&E, and two Defense Business Systems Information System Major Application systems for the NAVSEA client at NUWC Keyport. Immediately following Active Duty joined the US Navy Medicine West project to build the new Guam Naval Hospital. The 281,000 sq ft, $165 Million structure built adjacent to existing hospital is uniquely designed and constructed to withstand tropical humidity, corrosive coastal atmosphere, very high seismicity, and typhoon-force winds (170 mph). It is a full service hospital with state of the art MRI and CT services, full surgical suites, ER, natal and neo-natal, maxillofacial surgical suites, patient and family care, autopsy, and bio-contamination containment facilities. - As Assistant Project Engineer, analyze blueprints, conduct material quantity take-offs, manage the entire projects’ owner change process - totaling over $12 Million in owner driven changes, routinely directly interface with project stakeholders and owners, lead several small teams and mini projects to successful completion within the main project, manage sub-contractors, develop and write sub-contracts, issue change orders, finalize and collate volumes of information for project close-out requirements. - Took over as Door and Glazing Project Manager. Manage over $3.5 Million in subcontracts to properly outfit the hospital with over 1100 specialized doors and windows and over 10,000 individual pieces of hardware. - Assitant to the LEED coordinating manager for the project. Gather volumes of information from manufactures’ products and record construction practices to ensure the project is constructed according to the US Green Building Councils’ strict guidelines for energy efficiency, environmental safe-guards, and responsible, sustainable practices.
