As a Transmission Line Engineer, the scope of my work included the design of high-voltage transmission lines using PLS-CADD, MFAD, and other industry-leading tools. My experience includes working with a team to ensure projects met regulatory compliance and industry standards. Through my technical expertise, project management skills, and attention to detail, I delivered successful projects while adhering to tight timelines and budgets. Project Highlights: Hanford Site 12kV Distribution System Rebuild: As the lead engineer, oversaw the design of a 34-mile system upgrade at The Hanford Site to support the decommissioning of the nuclear production complex. Implemented an innovative design approach that utilized all direct-embedded wood poles. Key responsibilities included conducting detailed PLS-CADD design and clearance checks, designing and spotting structures, producing custom framing and assembly drawings, creating construction specifications, coordinating with distribution teams, generating construction drawings and documents, developing bills of materials, and managing material ordering. NIPSCO Highway Crossings: Designed high-risk highway crossings in northern Indiana to enhance the reliability and safety of the NiSource Transmission System. The projects involved the design of five major crossings using direct-embedded wood poles. My responsibilities included conducting detailed PLS-CADD design and clearance checks, designing structures and spotting, designing foundations, preparing bills of materials, ordering materials, developing construction drawings and documents, and providing construction support. • Transmission Line Engineer II
      • Aug 2018 - Jul 2020

As a Transmission Line Engineer II, the scope of my work included the design of more than 65 miles of overhead transmission lines, ranging from 69kV to 230kV. I was also involved in the design of underground transmission lines for various projects. In addition, I played a key role in ensuring the maintenance of the transmission lines by overseeing the execution of wood pole replacement initiatives.Project Highlights:Hurrican Michael PX Restoration: Played a pivotal role in restoring 34 Mile, 230kV Line under a condensed timeline following Hurricane Michael, as part of a team of three engineers. Final design was released within 4 weeks, and final deliverables were completed within 7 weeks. The line was built and energized just 5 months after the hurricane struck.Southern Oaks: Led the design and construction of the Southern Oaks project, a new overhead 69kV/115kV line covering 6.5 miles, including the installation of two full-length anchor bolt foundations. Successfully reduced development costs by 25%, optimizing the project budget. The Villages Development: Oversaw the rebuild of 15+ miles of 69kV/115kV lines, efficiently reducing development scope by up to 50% on certain sections of the line, resulting in cost savings and increased productivity.Vandolah to Whidden: Spearheaded the re-conductor project for a 230kV Tie Line covering 15 miles, proposing an alternative conductor to re-use existing structures and foundations. This innovative solution reduced development costs by $3.25M, contributing to increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the project. Show less
