I was contracted at Fidelity as a BA in Enterprise Technology working mainly on their ‘Performance Hub’ and ‘Fund Reporting Database’ (FRD). The main business sponsor was the Business Publications team. FRD stores the data used for all reporting including data extracts for monthly reports, quarterly investment reports, factsheets, third party extracts and for Fidelity’s internal reporting portal, Product Central. The role included – • Working on the monthly release of small scale enhancements (SSE) including gathering of business requirements, liaising with IT developers based in India, UAT and health checks for the weekend releases. This mainly related to data used by the Business Publications team in their client reports • All requirements were written in Confluence and all SSEs logged in JIRA backlogs on dashboards. Fidelity were moving to an Agile methodology • Working on Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) making data stored in FRD readily available to business users providing a self-service function to create extracts and reports. Responsible for testing of the application and providing training to the business users • Working on the new ‘Performance Hub’ responsible for testing of the new platform and then subsequent SSEs • Working on the initial stages of the PRIIPs project • Assisting with the co-ordination of testing for Vermilion upgrades which was used for KIID production and some client specific reports • Creation of a new portal on Sharepoint to provide a central location for all things related to the Enterprise Technology team. This included information about each of the platforms, training guides, contacts, newsletters and other updates and was available to all areas of the business Show less
