  I pioneered in the formation of Wasanii Mtaani/Artists in the Hood which premiered in 2006 during my college years.Apart from directly helping in the implementation of projects such as the Hiphop Medical Clinic, The Afrikan Hiphop Caravan and many more, I have convened the Afrikan chapter of the Rap Research Group Project at the Sarakasi Trust, Goethe institute, and the United States International University. Here are my other tasks at this establishment: • Finding links that could ensure knowledge from research groups, scholars, artists, and activists has a trickledown effect to the youth at the grassroots level. • Designing and implementing innovative concepts that would benefit the youths. • Ensuring that there is an effective collaboration of the different multisectral disciplines including the arts, environmental, health, technological, political and economic aspects into local programs. • Convening practical sessions, moderating and consensus building for seminars, workshops, and presentations. • Responsible for fundraising, financial management, and accountability. • Publicizing campaign, seeding using social networking platforms and blogs.
