Working closely with Microsoft consultants, worked on one of the first major asp .net projects written with beta visual studio and .net 1.0 for Reuters Messaging Administration website, code named 'espresso'. Designed and implemented user 'first time login' system, which comprised of a number of pages with various legal agreements which a user had to agree too. System would track users progress and direct them back to where they left. Later designed and implemented front end systems 'isAlive' status checking webservices.Swtiched to working on 3rd line technical support investigating complicated customer issues, and troubleshooting production system issues as and when required. • Systems Integrator
      • Jul 2001 - Dec 2003

Part designed a major replacement system for the iPlanet metadirectory join engine, based in Java to run on Wintel based machine. System had full idempotency - user updates on main LDAP directory were propagated to eCRM and Active Directory systems and could be rolled back, and forward if required. Undertook major part of development work for this replacement, working to send user data as XML to Siebel CRM and Active Directory.

    • Programmer
      • Sep 2000 - Jul 2001

I kicked off working at Reuters developing Perl/CGI modules to interface an LDAP directory holding customer information to a Sibel based CRM system, and a Microsoft Active Directory. This involved installation and configuration of iPlanet Directory Server, and iPlanet metadirectory Join Engine on Solaris systems.
