For many of my clients I fulfilled the role of quasi in-house counsel and advised on matters including: freedom to operate analysis, competitor and technology landscaping, patentability, patent enforcement, licensing and due diligence (for both investors and targets).The other side of my role was to perform the function of solicitor, predominantly for the firm's life sciences clients. As the firm's sole solicitor for most of the time I was at Stratagem, I managed drafting of manufacturing, distribution, licence, franchise, R&D, collaboration, JV, confidentiality, services, material transfer and consultancy agreements. I also negotiated IP related agreements with in house counsel at multi national organisations.From early 2017 I also acted as head of business development for the firm and managed the Lincoln office.
