Honorably completely 6 year enlistment as the towed array and sonobuoy work center supervisor and Sonar Watch Standing Supervisor on the USS Barry (DDG-52). Managed a team of technicians and operators responsible for the operations of the SQQ89 sonar system, shipboard ASW training, training content development, sonar software and hardware maintenance, and administrative support. Operated and maintained the AN/SQQ-89(V) 5 sonar suite in direct support of Anti-Submarine Warfare operations for the USS Caron (DD-970) and its Battlegroup. This included the operation of the AN/SQR-19 towed array sonar, the AN-SQS-53B hull mounted sonar, and the AN-SQQ-28 sonobuoy sonar subsystems. Lead operator and lead maintainer of the AN/SQQ-89(V)6 sonar suite and the operational readiness of the AN/SQR-19 towed array sonar and the AN/SQQ-28 sonobuoy sonar subsystems for the USS Barry. Combat Systems Team Training (CSTT) coordinator for Sonar and Electronic Warfare (EW) operations while serving on the USS Barry. Prior to serving on the USS Barry, completed pipeline SQQ-89 operator and maintainer courses in San Diego, finishing first in class (honor man) in both pipeline courses. Show less
