    • Principal, Business Development/Client Servicing
      • Sep 1994 - Feb 2007

I was originally recruited form the investment management consulting industry to provide proactive business development, client service and new product initiatives, as well as to contribute governance expertise and infrastructure guidance. Upon joining, established direct relationships for KBSH with all major consulting firms and ensured ongoing update of KBSH data in consultant databases. Oversaw business development activities and client servicing activities of KBSH. On joining in 1994 KBSH had total assets of just over $3 billion. At our peak in 2000 total assets had reached $14 billion. I helped develop new client markets for KBSH including a mutual fund strategy through multiple broker advisor networks. Worked with clients and prospects to develop additional products such as enhanced income and absolute return strategies as well as helping to establish KBSH's small cap and mid cap capabilities as stand alone products. I became a partner at KBSH in 1996. Show less

    • Senior Consultant, National Asset Practice Leader
      • Jan 1994 - Sep 1994

Recruited in 1994 from William M. Mercer Limited where I had worked as a senior consultant for five years; to re-establish the Alexander Consulting Group's (now part of AON Consulting) asset management consulting practice in Canada. Contributed to winning new general benefits/pension clients. I was a member of Alexander's national marketing board. Exceeded first year marketing targets prior to my departure (unfortunately I was at Alexander Consulting for only 9 months when I was specifically recruited by KBSH). While at Alexander, I established resources, templates and processes for all asset management projects. I was a member of the global asset consulting team, meeting in New Jersey head office quarterly. I benefitted greatly from the responsibilities Alexander Consulting gave to me and from working with the most capable and professional of colleagues during my brief tenure there. Show less
